1. What is video.football.co.uk?

Video.football.co.uk is part of the football.co.uk site where users can upload their own videos of footballing moments. You do not need to register on video.football.co.uk if you only want to watch videos, but if you want to comment, vote or upload your own video then you will need to register.

Viddit Ltd is a partner of football.co.uk who provide the video site on video.foootball.co.uk. For more information please see www.viddit.com

3. Do I need to register with video.football.co.uk?

You do not need to register with video.football.co.uk if you only want to watch videos.

If you want to comment on a video or vote for it then you do need to register & logon to the site.

If you want to upload your own video then you will need to be registered and logged on.

4. How do I register with video.football.co.uk?

Registration is with video.football.co.uk simple

  1. Click the “Join Now” button to start the registration process
  2. Enter your preferred user name & password
  3. Enter a valid email address
  4. Complete the “anti-spam” test – enter the two words you can see in the image. If you can not see them clearly enough request a new image by clicking the refresh button
  5. Check the box to say you agree to the terms and conditions
  6. Click the submit button
  7. .Congratulations – you are now a registered user on Viddit – you may now login and upload videos, vote on videos and make comments.

5. How do I vote for a video I like?

When viewing a video you can vote for it – simply click on the “I like this video” link under the video or click on the vote counter icon.

Please remember you have to be logged in to vote for a video

You can only vote once for each video

6. Why do the number of votes for a video go down over time ?

Your vote is always used to record the popularity of a video.

  1. But we also want to bring you the most popular recent videos
  2. So, over time, we reduce the value of the older votes

What you see in the Vote Counter icon is a reflection of both how many votes have been cast and how recently they have been cast.

7. How do I upload a video ?

You need to be registered and logged in to upload a video

Click on “upload media” in the user details box

Follow the instructions in the media loader box for each partiular type of media – video file – direct from a video camera – a web cam or from a mobile phone.

Your video is converted into a compatible format for video.football.co.uk as it is uploaded – this can take some time so please be patient

Once the video is uploaded enter a name for it and describe what is happening so other people can find your video

  1. The only field you mist fill in is the Name of the video
  2. TAGS are use to search for the video – enter a few keywords here that people might want to search by
  3. There are 4 text boxes to descibe “Who” the video is about, “What” the video is about, “Where” is is set, and “When” it was filmed or set. You do not need to fill these boxes in, but the more informaiton you provide the more likely other people are to find you video.
  4. Finally select the channel you want your video to be shown under.
  5. Each video has a primary channel and one or more secondary channels – select as many as you want.
  6. Check the box to confirm that you have the rights to upload this video & then submit it.
  7. Your video is avaialble for immediate viewing on the selected channels.

8. What if I see something offensive on video.football.co.uk?

If you see something you don’t like – either in a video or in a comment on a video then please report this to us.

Please click the “Flag Video” link under the video concerned

Our moderators will review your comments as soon as possible and will take appropriate action

9. What if I think a video on video.football.co.uk infringes my copyright?

Please follow the procedure described above to flag a problem with the video.
